What are the earliest and latest times I can access the beach chair set-up?

Our operational hours are from 8:30 AM to 5 PM. Please be aware that beach attendants typically start dismantling unoccupied sets between 3:30 - 4:00 PM. If you plan on leaving the beach and returning before 5 PM, kindly inform the onsite beach attendant.

What is included in a chair set-up?

Each set-up comprises two canvas chairs with wooden armrests and footrests, along with a 6-foot commercial umbrella. Our chairs are renowned for being the most comfortable and durable in the industry.

Is it possible to rent a single chair and umbrella?

Absolutely! While we do offer single chair and umbrella rentals, the best rates are available when renting a complete set. For pricing details, please visit our services page.

What types of payments are accepted?

We accept both cash and credit cards. Please note that a credit card processing fee is applicable when using credit cards.

Do you offer discounts for multiple day rentals?

Yes, we do! The longer you rent, the greater the discount. Multi-day discounts must be consecutive and paid on the first day. For pricing and multi-day discount information, please refer to our services page.

How will I know which chairs are assigned to me each day after I make my reservation?

Your last name will be written on the back of the chair in chalk by the beach attendant. If you have any difficulty finding your assigned chairs, please don't hesitate to ask our attendant for assistance.

Is it possible to have my assigned chairs moved if I'm not satisfied with the location?

Our priority is to ensure that all our guests and owners have the best beach experience. If you're unhappy with the location of your assigned chairs, you can request the attendant to move them. However, we can only relocate you to available chair sets at the time of your request.

Should I call ahead to make a reservation for beach chairs or other beach equipment if I'm staying at a property serviced by Perdido Beach Service?

We believe it's essential for our guests to choose their set-up location. Renting in person with our beach attendants allows you to select the best available spot.

What happens if the weather turns bad?

During the summer months, it's common for morning or afternoon thunderstorms to occur. Perdido Beach Service reserves the right to delay setting up beach service or to break down early due to inclement weather. In the event of high winds, we must close the umbrellas for safety reasons. Unfortunately, there are no refunds for delayed umbrella openings or closures during the day.

What is the refund policy?

Refunds are only available if we are unable to set up for the day. Delayed set-up does not qualify for a refund. We provide beach chairs and umbrellas as our service, and refunds cannot be issued for situations beyond our control (such as seaweed, jellyfish, heat, water clarity, loud music, smoking, etc.). Refunds will not be issued for multi-day rentals if the guest decides not to use the chairs, as the discount is applied for having multiple days. If you anticipate not using the chairs daily, we recommend paying daily.

Should we tip our beach attendant?

Tips are always appreciated! Our beach attendants begin their day at dawn and sometimes end it after dusk. They work diligently to set up beach service for our guests and owners to enjoy a relaxing day on the beach. A customary tip of 10% - 20% of your rental price is appropriate.

Can I bring my own gear (chairs, umbrella, tent)?

Yes, you may bring your own gear. However, tents are only permitted in areas designated by city ordinance, which are marked by posts along the beach and enforced by the cities of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Additionally, all personal items must be removed from the beach each night due to the "Leave Only Footprints" ordinance.
